Governor's School starts in less than 12 hours. That's really exciting, yet really nerve-wracking. It's SO hard to believe that this time two days ago, SO LITTLE had been done. (or at least, seemingly so little.) I'm pretty sure that puts the MGS staff and whatnot in a negative light, but it's the truth. On the flip side, we all worked our ASSES off to get stuff done, and we did! It's pretty amazing. Once everyone got here (I've been here for a while, but one person can't do a whole lot by himself/herself.), things panned out. We still have to do the dinner theater, though (MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON OUR SOULS WITH THAT ONE).
I'm exhausted, and MGS hasn't even started yet.
I'm also Harry Potter, apparently. Our hall theme is Harry Potter, and each of the four floors represent one of the houses in Harry Potter. My halls (1 and 3) are Ravenclaw and Gryffindor, respectively. The second and fourth floors are Slytherin and Hufflepuff, respectively. LT (the other male RA) assigned the staff actual characters. Sean (Head Male RA) is Dumbledore. LT is Snape, but he should have been Hagrid. Look him up on facebook (LaTerence Varnado) - just don't creep too much. Harrison is Sirius and Hayden is Ron (Hayden's my RAT and Harrison is LT's). And I'm Harry. Not my doing, promise. Just saying.
I'm nervous because I have so much to do this session. Being an RA is a full-time sort of thing, but I'm also a leadership course facilitator and in charge of ALL of Recreation. It's intense.
Anyway. I'm gonna go to bed. Gotta get up and do more stuff before the scholars get here.
McCoy out (I think I'm gonna keep saying that)
P.S. - I miss Claire Reid, Shaw Adcock, Kim Krapcha and Stephanie Doty LOTS. (I dunno if any of them will read this, though. Oh well.)
